As the School District of Philadelphia returns to local control, the Educational Nominating Panel is now seeking applications and nominations for the Philadelphia Board of Education.
If you know of anyone who may be interested in serving on the Board – or if you would like to nominate someone to serve – please review the Board of Education job description and submit the applicable form.
THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION IS FEBRUARY 7, 2018
The Board will demand many hours of dedicated service, and those who serve will be critical to our city’s future. We hope to recommend a slate of candidates to the Mayor who represent the diversity of our city and our schools, and who are passionate about ensuring all of our city’s children receive the best education possible.
To ensure that we hear from a wide range of candidates, we kindly ask that you share this information with your networks as soon as possible.
We need to make sure that every Philadelphia student can attend a quality school. Our city’s success depends on it. We can do this by building a new Board that will bring diverse perspectives, valuable expertise, and new ideas to the table.
