We offer a number of programs, resources, and opportunities for you to engage and network. To get the most from your membership, we encourage you to participate in and take advantage of our many committees, events, and programs.

Ambassadors Committee
Actively promotes membership in the GNPCC through a comprehensive outreach program that emphasizes our values and benefits. The committee engages in four levels of membership activity: Welcome new members, focus on retaining current members and networking guidance and support to Chamber members.
The Ambassador Committee strengthens the community and expands the Chamber’s outreach.

Directors Cup Challenge Committee
Coordinates the “Directors Cup Challenge” held at The Union League Golf Club at Torresdale in Northeast Philadelphia. So goes the story, the Greater Northeast Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce was founded on the greens of the old course, designed by the legendary Donald James Ross of Scotland. A group of concerned businessmen from Frankford wanted a stronger voice on behalf of local commerce, and in 1922 they signed the charter creating the GNPCC. The committee organizes and promotes the event, solicits prize donations, sells tickets, and identifies ways to make the annual outing fun and entertaining.

Event and Program Committee
The committee will strategically evaluate the events and programs to explore new and exciting opportunities.

Flavors of the Northeast Festival Committee
Carrying on the celebration and highlighting the finest cuisine Northeast Philadelphia offers. The annual Flavors of the Northeast is moving outside and expanding into the Flavors of the Northeast Festival. Restaurant – Vendors – Entertainment – Community fun! Committee members will plan and create an exciting culinary experience.

Government Affairs Committee
Monitors government’s ongoing work at the city, state, and federal levels, primarily as it relates to issues and events impacting our member businesses. The committee has been an integral part of the GNPCC since 1922 in helping the organization stay abreast of current developments, maintain professional relationships with elected officials and area leaders, and monitor legislation for possible Board action. The committee regularly hosts speakers for breakfasts, luncheons, or workshops that provide a personal forum for members’ interaction.

Marketing Committee
Ensures that the organization is on the front line of the latest in communications and marketing technology through its Web site, online messaging, advertising vehicles, and promotional materials. The committee’s sphere of responsibility spreads across the organization as it optimizes multiple platforms in an effort to reach the maximum audience. As technology changes, the committee’s task is to stay current and utilize print media, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and a new interactive Web site to inform members and the public about the exciting agenda we have planned for them.

Mingle Among the Masterpieces Art Exhibit and Reception Committee
A new signature event for the Chamber, the Art Exhibit, and Reception will showcase exquisite pieces from our non-profit members and schools.

Shop Small, Buy Local
The new committee will focus on promoting a Shop Small Buy Local initiative.

Women in Business Conference Committee
