Tell us about your business and how you help your clients

I work with business owners to preserve and grow their wealth through their business cycle. Each business has its own unique characteristics and volatility. My business and background understands the traits of your business. This enables me to manage your wealth through those cycles. [Read More]

I also have contacts with business consultants, business owners, board members, and industry analysts who can help solve a problem you have or help with a decision.

I also work with retirees (or soon to be) to address income needs and risks faced in retirement (withdrawal rate, inflation, death of spouse, tax efficiency, unpredictable market, addressing gaps in income, asset allocation).

What did you do before you started your business?

Prior to this I worked in Investment Banking for Janney Montgomery Scott and J.P. Morgan. I traveled with public company executives (CEO, CFO, COO) to meet with local institutional investors. In our meetings, we discussed the opportunities and challenges that faced their business along with strategies and solutions. I learned a lot about various industries (consumer, industrial, technology, healthcare, energy, and financials) as well as the different fundamentals for each industry.

Where did you grow up and where did you go to school?

I’m originally from northeast Philadelphia. I attended St Martin of Tours grade school before going to Chestnut Hill Academy. After that I attended Temple University, majoring in Accounting and Finance.

Why did you decide to join/be associated with GNPCC and what excites you about being a member?

I want to meet various people in the northeast and understand the challenges they face and opportunities they see going forward. Hopefully I can help them with my background and network.

Any other information about you or your business that you think would be relevant to other chamber members?

I believe anyone who is giving personal financial advice to a business owner should be aware of what the business owner faces fundamentally. His or her business is likely their biggest asset or largest cash flow producing asset. A financial advisor should be in tune to the fundamentals of their business. I think my background is unique.

I’m also a fiduciary as well as licensed for health and life insurance but not captive to one distributor.

As a business owner, what advice would you give other professionals who are considering starting a business?

Don’t be afraid to ask other people for help.

What do you think is the most important key to professional success, given the current economic climate?

Capital allocation is the core to any business. Where you spend your capital and how you fund it is crucial for any business. When you hear “restructuring” that’s another word for poor capital allocation decisions.

With historical low interest rates, there is a temptation to add debt with today’s low interest costs. Making sure you have the right capital allocation process will help protect your business from too much debt in the event of a downturn. For small business owners, capital is not just monetary it’s also your personal capital of time (where you spend your time). I think I can help business owners with my background and network.
