pa-office-of-the-budgetThe Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) is a Pennsylvania grant program administered by the Office of the Budget for the acquisition and construction of regional economic, cultural, civic, recreational, and historical improvement projects. RACP projects are authorized in the Redevelopment Assistance section of a Capital Budget Itemization Act, have a regional or multi-jurisdictional impact, and generate substantial increases or maintain current levels of employment, tax revenues, or other measures of economic activity. RACP projects are state-funded projects that cannot obtain primary funding under other state programs.

Below you will find new procedures and application window for RACP to Apply for RACP Grant Funding and Announcement of Round 2017/1

The Wolf Administration, as part of its commitment to a “Government that works,” has enhanced and streamlined the RACP grant submission procedures, while maintaining the primary tenets of the program.  Starting with the next Round, Candidates will submit an Electronic Application (e-RACP Application) to apply for RACP grant funds.  E-RACP Applications can only be submitted during an Open Funding Round. The new process will alleviate the time and funding burden associated with the prior business plan submission procedures.

The new window for Round 2017/1 will be open for 30 days during the period from January 4, 2017 through February 3, 2017.

The new e-RACP Application submission has been conceived to enhance productivity both at the Candidate level and the Commonwealth through a more efficient use of resources. This new process will allow Candidates to not only save time and preserve needed capital for their project, but also perform more accurate projections regarding their construction activities. Successful Candidates that receive an RACP grant award in the next round will then prepare a formal Application and Business Plan to include details and documentation not supplied during the e-RACP Application submission period to continue through the grant funding process.
