Networking and Volunteering: Strengthen your role in the community

We all know the basic reasons to volunteer: Giving back, lending a hand, doing the right thing.

But sometimes we hesitate. We send a sponsorship check instead. We send a donation instead. We think, “Oh, next time. I’m too busy.”

Here’s another good reason to volunteer: When you do you immediately become an integral part of the community.

Volunteering is well-suited to networking; you network naturally while you are serving a common goal. Nothing can strengthen your role in the community more than learning with other business owners what it takes to put on a successful event or project: being a part of the planning, the challenges, the late hours, and the ultimate success of knowing that you all did this together. This camaraderie can only be gained by volunteering.

If you’re ready to volunteer with the Chamber we have the following committees that you can join:

Ambassadors

Education and Training  – LEADERSHIP ACADEMY

Government Affairs

Marketing

Membership Development

Directors Cup Challenge
