Directors Cup Challenge Committee – SAVE THE DATE   Monday, May 1, 2017
Coordinates the fall “Directors Cup Challenge” held at the brand new Union League Golf Club at Torresdale in Northeast Philadelphia. So goes the story, the Greater Northeast Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce was actually founded on the greens of the old course, which was designed by the legendary Donald James Ross of Scotland. A group of concerned businessmen from Frankford wanted a stronger voice in behalf of local commerce, and in 1922 they signed the charter creating the GNPCC. The committee organizes and promotes the event, solicits prize donations, sells tickets and identifies ways to make the annual outing fun and entertaining.

Family Business Conference Committee – Wednesday, October 19, 2016
The GNPCC has partnered with Saint Joseph’s University’s Initiative for Family Business and Entrepreneurship to present our inaugural Family Business Conference on Wednesday, October 19, 2016.

Government Affairs Committee
Monitors the ongoing work of government at the city, state and federal levels primarily as it relates to issues and events that impact our member businesses. The committee has been an integral part of the GNPCC since 1922 in helping the organization stay abreast of current developments, maintain professional relationships with elected officials and area leaders, and monitor legislation for the possible Board action. The committee regularly hosts speakers for breakfasts, luncheons or workshops that provide a personal forum for members’ interaction.

Leadership Academy
Leads the GNPCC efforts to provide meaningful and effective classes and workshop sessions to meet the challenges of doing business in the 21st Century. The committee helps to design the criteria to support a variety of ideas. Explore a wide range of business skills for developing your career, including time management, communication, and negotiation skills. Courses cover marketing strategy, brand building, leadership fundamentals—even public speaking tips.

Marketing Committee
Ensures that the organization is on the front line of the latest in communications and marketing technology through its web site, online messaging, advertising vehicles and promotional materials. The committee’s sphere of responsibility spreads across the organization as it optimizes multiple platforms in an effort to reach the maximum audience. As technology changes, the committee’s task is to stay current and utilize print media, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and a new interactive web site to inform members and the public about the exciting agenda we have planned for them.

Membership and Outreach Committee
Actively promotes membership in the GNPCC through a comprehensive outreach program that emphasizes the values and benefits we offer. The committee engages in four levels of membership activity: Retention of current members, exploration of new member leads, discussion with former members about rejoining, and business development. While this committee is dedicated to the growth of our membership, it is also very interested in maintaining current members, and exploring why a member decided not to renew. All of this information is critical to our daily customer service goals, program design and communications efforts.
