GNPCC President Pam Henshall, second from left, and Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. Mike Stack thank Michelle Saldutti and Ron Davis, of Parx Casino and Racing.

Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. Mike Stack addressed area Chambers of Commerce and business groups at Parx Casino & Racing in Bensalem March 31 at a breakfast event entitled “Philadelphia: Working Together.”

The breakfast, which was held in the Parx East Racing Building, was a great success, in large part due to Parx Chief Diversity Coordinator Ron Davis and GNPCC Board member Michelle Saldutti for their excellence and attention to detail.

The breakfast was the brainchild of GNPCC President Pam Henshall, who seeks to draw strength and support for businesses from the large contingent of so-called “smaller” Chambers and business support groups throughout the region.

The GNPCC Government Affairs Committee secured Mr. Stack as a speaker.  The committee chair, Don Brennan, introduced the Lt. Governor.

Ms. Henshall hopes the breakfast will be an annual event.

In addition to solid support from GNPCC Board members, a number of notables networked with GNPCC members and friends, including: Bensalem Mayor Joe DiGirolamo, State Rep. Gene DiGirolamo, State Rep. Mike Driscoll, Betsy Lee of the Asian American Chamber of Commerce, Lydia Sarson of the German American Chamber of Commerce, Vered Nohi of the Philadelphia Israel Chamber of Commerce, Sean Flatley of the Irish American Chamber of Commerce, and representatives from the Japan American Society of Greater Philadelphia, and State Sen. Robert (Tommy) Tomlinson’s office.

GNPCC Board member Sandi King of the city’s Commerce Department brought four members from Germany as part of a business delegation visiting the city.

A special treat from Parx were the video displays both inside and outside Parx East that advertised the event.
Tom Waring, editor of the Northeast Times, covered the event (as did 6ABC-TV).
