Take Your Business to the Next Level
Through the program, you’ll be given access to the tools and resources you need to develop a strategic and customized growth plan for your business.

Build your next success with:

Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses is a $500 million investment to help entrepreneurs create jobs and economic opportunity by providing them with greater access to education, financial capital and business support services. The program is available across the United States through a network of more than 100 academic and community partners. More than 2,500 small business owners have participated, and the program continues to expand.

Education for Business Growth
Designed by Babson College, the nation’s top-ranked entrepreneurship school, the
curriculum focuses on practical business skills that can immediately be applied by business owners, including negotiation, marketing and employee management.

Access to Capital
Small business owners learn how to become more bankable and position their business to access financing and capital. Through partnerships with local, regional and national Community Development Financial Institutions and other mission-driven small business lenders, loans are available to qualifying small businesses that lack access to affordable capital or may not qualify for traditional sources of credit. Loan applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, independent of acceptance into the business and management education program.
Learn more.

A Network of Support
Participants will receive one-on-one business advising and the opportunity to learn from other like-minded business owners. The program provides this expert advice and technical assistance through partnerships with national and local business organizations, professional services firms and the people of Goldman Sachs.

Networking Breakfast @ Livengrin Foundation Northeast Philadelphia
Jun 14 @ 7:30 am – 9:00 am

Program Manager, Todd Belfus, M.A., will be speaking on “Managing Substance Abuse in the Workplace”.
In 1966, Philadelphia-area advertising executive and entrepreneur Standish Forde Hansell was finishing renovations to a 50-year-old country estate house he’d purchased on what had been the Brice Farm in Bensalem, Bucks County. His plan was to open a retirement community, where gentlemen of means could continue a pastoral lifestyle and live and grin into their golden years. Instead, on the advice of a few trusted friends (and, according to one account, outspoken actor/director Orson Welles), he turned his 46-acre property into one of the very first non-hospital facilities in Pennsylvania to treat alcoholism. Mr. Hansell believed in his heart that there was a tremendous need in the region for a nonprofit to help the many people that were suffering. The often whimsical Hansell kept the Livengrin name.
Throughout the 1970s, Livengrin Foundation built its reputation as a trailblazer, launching numerous innovative programs such as its Family Education Program and extensive Aftercare and Outpatient Services. The organization also collaborated with the business and labor communities, identifying those among their workforce who were challenged by addiction, and offering them opportunities for treatment and recovery.
The Foundation has continued to grow, implementing a network of Pennsylvania counseling centers throughout Bucks, Montgomery, Delaware, Lehigh, and Philadelphia Counties. Specialty programs have been created to respond to emerging needs, such as the healthcare professionals’ track that assists nurses, pharmacists, and physicians. We host scores of postgraduate students and professionals who come to study and gain real-life experience. Standish Hansell planted the seeds of what was to become a caring, professional, and progressive organization that has helped more than 125,000 patients and families struggling with the disease of addiction to find help, hope, and healing.
