Last week, Aramark, one of the largest international corporations headquartered in Philadelphia, announced that it will be staying in the city and moving its new global headquarters to 2400 Market Street.

The plan calls to transform the existing structure into a 600,000-square-foot, nine-story building. Aramark, the anchor tenant, will occupy the top five floors and 300,000 square feet of space.

Eric J. Foss, Aramark’s chairman, president, and CEO said the principle reason Aramark chose to remain in Philadelphia is the tremendous access to a talented workforce. Located in Philadelphia for 55 years, the company employs about 1,200 people in the city, 6,800 in the Greater Philadelphia region, and 14,000 employees statewide.
