American Heritage Credit Union Introduces Their Biz Kid$ Literacy Expedition

Philadelphia, PA — American Heritage Credit Union is proud to introduce our “Biz Kid$ Expedition”, a unique field trip opportunity for local High Schools and Middle Schools to help their students learn important life skills that aren’t taught in the everyday classroom. Students will have the chance to visit our main headquarters and learn about the Credit Union industry, career development paths, organizational management, financial management and much more.

Three school have already taken advantage of this out-of-school experience, Archbishop Ryan High School on January 22, Mastery Charter School on February 14 and School Lane Charter School on February 23. Students spend the day rotating between five departments within American Heritage and visit with the President/CEO, Bruce Foulke. In each department, they will learn different trade skills and understand how each one is an essential piece in operating a Credit Union.

The day concludes with a Financial Workshop, which aims to provide important tricks and tips involving money such as budgeting, myths about Credit Cards, the difference between a Credit Union and bank, and other topics. Through the workshop they’ll take their new skills and information from the CEO and American Heritage departments to master the workshop.

We would love the opportunity to provide this unique learning experience for your local High School and students. For more information or to book an Expedition with American Heritage, please visit AMHFCU.org/BizKids or call our Community Involvement Coordinator at 215-969-2938.
