“I was engaged from beginning to end.”

“I’m thrilled year two, brought as much if not more, value to me and knowledge I can implement in my businesses today!”

The reviews are in, and they are spectacular.

The accolades have come pouring in for the Greater Northeast Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce’s annual Women in Business Conference (#WIBCphl) April 19 at the Radisson Philadelphia Northeast, 2400 Old Lincoln Highway in Trevose, Pa.

Sponsored by Crown Holdings (title sponsor), the day-long program and after-hours networking event brought women and men together to “connect, learn, and grow.”

The day included twenty-two different sessions with engaging presentations and panel discussions in six separate rooms inside the Radisson. The Business After Hours Event, sponsored by Decker Benefits Insurance Solutions, LLC, was held in the Atrium Bistro Restaurant.

Following breakfast, Christin Cardone McClave, chief people officer of Cardone Industries, set the tone for the conference and the reminded us of the essential role women play and how we share support for our family, colleagues, and communities. “Women have an innate gift for sharing. We support each other and everyone we touch.” shared Mrs. McClave. “Women instinctively understand needs and know how best to support and fulfill these needs.” Mrs. McClave characterized the reason why women were investing in themselves and attending the conference. The tone was set, and everyone was on their way.

The conference was divided into four sessions, two break periods, and a Keynote Luncheon Panel led by Dr. Monica McGrath, chief executive officer of Resources for Leadership, Inc. The all-star lineup included: Ann Marie Carollo, vice president retail market manager of TD Bank, Lynne Cutler, president of Women’s Opportunity Resource Center, Melissa Lee, chief executive officer and founder of The GREEN Program, Nicole Pumphery, director of strategic partnerships for the Welcoming Center for New Philadelphians, and Laura Otten, PhD, executive director for the Nonprofit Center at La Salle University. The panel discussion continued the conference theme, Paying it Forward – Collaboration for Success. Each expert panelist shared stories and offered great insight into identifying opportunities for all to be aware of how we can Pay it Forward daily.

“Today is about the extraordinary contribution women make daily to positively impact our lives, our families, our communities, and, yes, our businesses,” Ms. Henshall said in her welcoming remarks. “Your attendance today is a commitment to your success and an investment in your future.”

Throughout the day, sessions focused on four educational tracks, Personal Development, Career, Technology, and Communications. Each session offered panel discussions and individual workshops based on informative topics supporting professionals in every industry and generation. Topics included The Power of Reinvention, Vocal Empowerment for Women Leadership, How to Maximize Your ROI, Branding, and Visibility, How to Identify Your Corporate Culture, How to Stand Out in a Completive Job Market, and Equifax Breach: Cyber Security, Are you at Risk? Conference attendees had the opportunity to select from a multitude of sessions offering rich content.

“We are sure you are going to find something very interesting today for not only yourself personally, but with regards to operating your business,” Ms. Morozin told the audience at breakfast.

Later, Ms. Morozin said she was “thrilled” by the event. “For me, it’s wonderful to see so many new faces. It’s exciting to break ground, so to speak, with something this large for an organization that’s been around for 96 years. I am just thrilled by what I see, and I know this can grow,” she said.
